How to check the sealing of the loose dryer

Feb 24, 2025

The following is a method to check the sealing of the loose dryer device:

1. Appearance inspection

First observe the outer shell of the dryer to see if there are obvious gaps, deformations or damage. Especially in the door, feed port, discharge port and other parts, check whether the edges of these parts are flat and whether the sealing strips are intact.

Check the pipe connection parts of the dryer to see if there is any looseness or air leakage. Whether the gasket at the pipe connection is intact and the bolts are tightened.

2. Static sealing inspection

Close the door, feed port and discharge port of the dryer, press these parts gently with your hands to feel whether there is any looseness or air leakage. If you feel that there is air leakage, you can put a piece of thin paper or cloth strip in the gap to observe whether there is air flow blowing the paper or cloth strip.

Check the observation window of the dryer to see if the seal is good. Observe whether the glass of the window is firmly installed and the sealing strip is intact. You can spray some water mist around the observation window to observe whether there is any mist entering the inside of the dryer.

3. Dynamic sealing inspection

During the operation of the dryer, observe whether there is hot air leakage in the door, feed port and discharge port. You can approach these parts with your hands to feel whether there is hot air flow. If there is hot air leakage, it means that the seal is not good.

Check the ventilation system of the dryer to see if there is any air leakage. You can spray some water mist at the joints of the ventilation duct, the inlet and outlet of the fan, etc., and observe whether the mist is inhaled or blown out. If there is mist inhaled or blown out, it means that there is a sealing problem in the ventilation system.

4. Professional detection

If the sealing requirements of the dryer are high, professional detection equipment can be used for detection. For example, a pressure sensor can be used to detect the pressure changes inside the dryer to determine whether there is an air leak.

You can also use an infrared thermal imager to detect the surface temperature distribution of the dryer and find the parts with poor sealing. There will be heat leakage in places with poor sealing, causing the surface temperature to rise.

Checking the sealing of the dryer requires careful observation and careful inspection, and can be combined with professional detection equipment for detection. If a poor sealing problem is found, the seal should be repaired or replaced in time to ensure the normal operation and drying effect of the dryer.
